The Surah Hashr is a sacred text of the Quran. The word Hashr means ‘to break’, ‘to split’, or ‘to shred’, and in the context of the Quran, it refers to the breaking of the bonds of sin and the world will be shattered. It has twenty-four verses.
Hashr is considered the most important verse in the Quran because it describes the consequences of sin, and those who violate it are thrown into the hellfire. The punishment in the hell is so severe that the person will be split into pieces.
In some cases, the person will be given the chance to go back to the world of the living and will be able to join the worship of God. In other cases, he will be forced to remain in the hellfire. The decision depends on the severity of the sin and the extent of the damage to the community.
